A few years ago, a brand new high-ticket seminar (£2,000 per delegate) was launched in the UK, with a zero marketing budget. A letter (with an endorsement) was sent to 600 customers of one company, on a joint venture basis. Outcome: 30 people enrolled, resulting in £60,000 in revenues. This type of result is virtually unheard of in the seminar industry - where responses are slim, even with mass mailings.

Will you get results like this? Maybe, maybe not. But if you're able to target specific customer databases, and get an endorsement for your product or service, you'll receive a far stronger response than 'going in cold'.

Another example: a land investment company generates 8,000 call-in leads per month from TV and radio advertising. About 10% of these become customers, resulting in 800 new customers a month. What happens to the 7,200 un-sold leads, which has cost a small fortune to acquire?

Well, how about offering another product or service to these 'hot prospects' - probably any other type of alternative investment, be it gold or commodity or forex related. Or even a property-related offer, from an associated company. All profits that are generated can be shared between the two companies. Huge opportunities exist, because the vast majority of businesses 'follow-up' very poorly.

One more example: a new up-market restaurant opens in town, but doesn't want to spend money on advertising. Some of its best customers can be found by doing a joint venture with the local chamber of commerce, and other associations where people-with-money tend to gather. Offer a free meal for two to the members of these organisations. The restaurant will probably find that most bookings will be for groups of four, resulting in immediate profit. Returning customers then bring further profits.

In the future, we foresee these types of joint ventures:

Conservatory company with a kitchen, bathroom or bedroom company

Office stationery company with any type of business service

Golf course with golf accessories, or golfing holidays

Property investment company with property finance and deals

Mail order wine company with a travel agent

Bridal shop with photographers, honeymoon holidays or wedding venues

Investment book sellers with investment seminars or investment deals

Web design service with website traffic generation services, or site conversion specialists

Architect with interior designers, or building companies

Doctors with dentists, or cosmetic surgeons

Luxury car dealer with diamond jeweller, and vice versa

Plasma TV retailer with luxury holidays, or cruises

Art gallery with 5-star hotels

High-quality health club with a car dealership

Accountants with solicitors/lawyers, or with marketing consultants

As you see, the possibilities are endless, and only limited by your imagination…
